Makers post structured tasks and lock the bananas up front. Apes claim them, do the work, and get paid when it’s approved. Nobody gets a free-text box and a prayer.
Two tracks. Every account does both.
You built a thing
For makers
Add your app. Name, link, platforms. One minute.
Pick a task type. Ten formats, from a five-second test to a full stampede. Each one comes with its own answer form.
Set reward × slots. The bananas go into escrow before anyone starts, plus the zoo tax.
Review. Approve, tip, or reject with a listed reason. Ignore it for 72 hours and it approves itself.
A maker picks one of ten task types, writes the brief and sets reward × slots.
02
Step 2: Escrow
Reward plus zoo tax, per slot, gets locked before anyone lifts a finger. Nobody works for IOUs.
03
Step 3: Claim
An ape grabs a slot and has 48 hours to submit. Stampedes use their window instead.
04
Step 4: Submit
Structured answers, the proof-of-use question, and the Slop-o-meter reading along.
05
Step 5: Review
The maker approves, tips, or rejects with a listed reason and a written note.
06
Step 6: Payout
The reward lands in the ape’s wallet. The zoo tax gets burned. Everyone moves on.
what if the maker never reviews it?
auto-approved after 72h. paid anyway.
The quality system
Why the feedback isn’t slop.
Structured task types
Ten formats, each with its own fields. A Roast gets a five-part rubric and the single worst problem. A Bug Hunt gets steps, expected, actual, severity and device. A Mission Run gets pass or fail on every step you wrote. Nobody gets an empty text box.

Proof-of-use question
Makers can add a question only someone who actually opened the app can answer. Get it wrong and that’s a valid rejection.
what’s on the empty inbox screen?
a very sad cactus.
Slop-o-meter
Scores your writing live. Names the button? Quotes the error? Gives a number? Good. “Seamless, intuitive, user-friendly” sends you straight to the left.
Pure slopMehSolid ape workGolden banana
It never rejects anyone by itself. It just makes slop obvious to the maker.
Rejections need a reason
A maker can’t reject you for criticism they don’t like. It’s one of these, plus a written note, or it’s an approval.
Low effort — a few words where a paragraph was asked for
Generic AI-sounding filler, nothing specific to this app
Didn't show up during the stampede window
Contest it
Rejected unfairly? Make your case once, within 7 days. The maker reads it and either reverses it or keeps the rejection. A reversal pays you and wipes the rejection off your record. One contest per rejection.

Public fairness score
Every maker shows how often they approve, how fast they review, and the stars apes gave them. Stingy makers are very visible makers.

Levels gate the juggling
Levels need approved work and a clean approval rate. They decide how many tasks you can hold at once, and which task types you can claim.

The rules.
Never for bananas
×App Store or Google Play ratings and reviews. Incentivised store reviews break both stores' rules and can get your developer account banned.
×Solving captchas, creating fake accounts, or faking signups, installs, votes or traffic.
×Anything that breaks another site's terms, or hands over passwords or personal data.
×Real money, crypto or anything that needs a card.
Post one of these and it gets pulled. No warning shot.
can i pay apes for 5-star reviews?
nope.
Be a good ape
Do the task you claimed. On the actual product, following the brief. Not a vibe check of the landing page.
Write like a human who used it. Because you are one. Name the screen, quote the error, count the seconds.
Be blunt about the product. Never about the person.
Makers reject for a listed reason or not at all. With a note. “I didn’t like it” isn’t on the list.
Quotes are opt-in. An ape’s line goes public with their handle only once approved, and they can pull it any time.
One ape, one account. Alts farming bananas get every account banned.
Bananas have no cash value. Don’t sell them. Don’t buy them. Don’t ask.
FAQ
Asked. Answered.
Can I buy bananas?
No. Not with money, not with crypto, not with a firm handshake.
You get 50 for signing up, 5 a day for showing up, and the rest you earn by doing tasks. That’s the whole point: the only way to get feedback is to give some.
Do bananas expire?
No. But the daily banana stops while you’re holding 300+ of them. Hoarding helps nobody. Go post a task.
What if the maker never reviews my work?
It approves itself after 72 hours and you get paid. The bananas were in escrow the whole time, so there’s nothing for the maker to run off with.
so ghosting doesn’t work?
ghosting pays the ape.
What if I get rejected unfairly?
Every rejection needs a listed reason and a written note. If it’s wrong, contest it once, within 7 days, and make your case. The maker reads it, then reverses the rejection or keeps it. One contest per rejection, no second round. How they treat apes shows up on their public fairness score.
Can I get App Store reviews out of this?
No. Never. Paid or incentivised store reviews break Apple’s and Google’s rules and can get your developer account banned. Ask for a Verdict instead: an honest review you can quote on your own site, with the ape’s permission.
Is any of this AI?
No. That’s the whole pitch. Real humans with real thumbs on real devices. The Slop-o-meter exists to catch apes pretending to be robots, not the other way round.
What’s the zoo tax?
10% of the reward per slot, minimum 1 banana, burned when the ape gets paid. It keeps bananas scarce enough to mean something. The maths is on the pricing page.
